Long and rather interesting inscription on front flyleaf in fountain pen written "To the Blessed Virgin Mary" through someone allegedly in Purgatory, dated Nov. '92 (1892). Front hinge has been repaired/reinforced with white archival tape. Fore edges of front free endpaper and front flyleaf each have a tiny tear. Covers are lightly soiled, cover corners are lightly rubbed, and front cover has a pinhole near top spine.
